RSS

RSS - What is it and why use it?

RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication and is a web product that allows you easily to see what’s new on the websites and weblogs you visit most often. By subscribing to the Cultural Animation RSS feed you can keep track of recent articles posted by project partners and comments to posts of interest without having to visit the website every day just to check if there are any updates.

How do I subscribe to RSS feed?

First, download and install one of free RSS readers. There are quite a few available, for example:
- for Windows:
- Awasu
- FeedReader
- BottomFeeder
- Active Web Reader
- RSSOwl

- for Mac OSX:
- Shrook
- BottomFeeder
- RSSOwl

- for Linux:
- BottomFeeder
- RSSOwl

Then, right-click link “Article RSS feed” next to little RSS icon in the top left corner on this website. Choose “Copy link address” and paste the link into your RSS reader’s subscription field.
If you don’t have a right-click-able mouse (for example if you are on a Mac) then “Control”+click on “Article RSS Feed”. Choose “Copy Link Location” and paste the link into your RSS reader’s subscription field.

Done! Your should be able to see all the changes on Cultural Animation website now but don’t forget to open the program to do so! :-)
